This scientific circle is ran at the Department of Automation, Biomechanics and Mechatronics (K-16).
We are a young and very active student research group founded in 2013.
The topics we discuss at the meetings are:
- Electronic circuits
- Development of prototypes
- Programming languages
• We are currently involved in two projects:
Coordinate measuring machine with a fixed gate. Support slides will be implemented through the use of rolling gears, guides, linear bearings, and stepper motors. For high stiffness of the structure, the frame of the structure will be made of closed steel profiles. Stiffness is a very important factor, because the device will be eventually used to mill aluminum. High-power electrospindle will be used as a working tip. To control the drives, CAM software will be implemented, while special G-Code software will be used to control three stepper motors.
- Line Follower „Followe_Me”
A robot that can take part in competitions with the Follow The Line (FTL) category. A small-sized vehicle whose task is to travel the designated route in the shortest possible time. The robot can race on a white ground with a designated black route.
